Sassy is a Golden Retriever with a lot of questions about family. She talks to her best friend Sandy to help her find the answers. Together, they go on a journey to discover they have more in common than they ever dreamed. On that journey, they meet and become friends with two homeless dogs named George and Buddy. George is a large German Shepherd, and Buddy, the Bulldog, is his short and stocky friend. Together they do what they have to do to survive.
