In 2006, he co-wrote Carrie Underwood's "Don't Forget to Remember Me", which went to number 2 on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart. Since that song, he has co-written over 100 songs by over 50 artists. In 2008 and 2009 he won the Triple Play Award, which is given to songwriters who write three number 1 singles in a one-year span. Also in 2008 and 2009, he was on Billboard's list of 'Top Ten Writers Of The Year'. He has been nominated for two Grammy Awards and was the 2009 ASCAP Songwriter of the year. Ashley also has a joint venture with his publishing company, Combustion Music, through which he has two writers, Matt Jenkins and Zach Crowell signed to him.
