An income of $3,000 a year lets them do this without stopping to work. They built Badger, live aboard her, and have sailed her over 80,000 miles. It's a wonderfully descriptive account of not only what they're doing, but how they have done it and the philosophy of simplification and cost-benefit analysis they use to sort out their priorities.
