A young American woman working as an English teacher in Prague has a serious reason for being there: to write a biography about Vaclav Havel. Having an interview with this famous person is a necessary condition for publishing the book. One of her students, a middle-aged Czech man, a sales manager of a newspaper, seems to be quite helpful in this matter. Both of them start cooperating in working on this project. During this time, the couple runs into serious difficulties, not only with their jobs, but with themselves and their partners as well. Apparently, the latter of the problems is strongly influenced by the fact that they are very much in love. We get to know many appealing things about the main and other characters, together with interesting points of history and the reality associated with the Czech Republic of today, where the story predominantly takes place. This book is a contemporary fiction written in a brisk and lively style with suggestive authenticity.
