When the Tech High School retirees would get together, they would often say, "Do you remember when...?" After Don Daily retired from IPS (Indianapolis Public School System), he often thought how sad it would be to lose the memories of those days at Tech from the early 1950's to his retirement in 1985. Some of those times were filled with racial tension, political struggles, and people trying to make a living under difficult circumstances. However, most of the times were good and rewarding. Family and friends who enjoyed these memories encouraged Don to jot these memories down in the form of short stories. Most of the incidents seemed serious and earth shaking at the time they occurred, but in retrospect they appear to be somewhat humorous in nature.
