Over the years, there have been many people whom I have known and with whom I have shared my many exploits. Many of those same people encouraged me to pen my story; too many to single out. As I figured everyone in my generation had a story equally inspiring in its own right, I never really thought this would be something to do. But, as I aged, the more I thought about the idea, the more I came to believe that this book, Never Alone, would be something to hand down to my family, something they may read as a source of encouragement. The only legacy I have ever known was that of my grandfather, and, despite having very little knowledge of him, it is a legacy I hold dear. Perhaps Never Alone can serve as a legacy of sorts for my family in future generations. I would hope as people read this, they will see the message more than the messenger.
