Hamelin is a town of legend ~ Hansel and Gretel's parents forever lead them into the forest. Snow White herself collects the seven dwarfs. The children wait for Frederick Barbarossa to return. The Grail Maidens watch over the city. And the Knights of the Round Table man the Town Council. Now rats have overrun Hamelin, and legend confronts legend. The ratcatcher arrives to rescue them, to curse them, to change their story, to take away their fear and joy. As pied as his clothing, he divides the town.
