Roxy is getting married, but she's not thrilled about it, not at all. Her father has set her up with a childhood friend, Luke, and though she's known him since they were six, the years have separated them substantially. He is now a Lieutenant in the Army and she's a spoiled, only child to parents who aren't nearly as politically important as her intended is. And though he loves her unconditionally, she feels dwarfed compared to him. He has a small army of men, oversees life-threatening missions, and is one of the youngest and well-known Lieutenants of the ongoing war. While Roxy is being forced to grow up much faster then she would like to...and it sucks. She's known him for forever, but how is she going to stand being married to a man of such power?
