Oskar was really just a cuddly soft toy, a present for my grandson. But he had lots of other toys to cuddle, so to make Oskar special I wrote this story. It could have happened, if Oskar had been a real Sea Otter. So while trying to find his way home Oskar meets all the animals I met while in Alaska and learns a little from each one. Solomon Salmon, the angry Mr. Beaver, the kindly Moose, Mr. Grizzly Bear and Candy Caribou all help Oskar find his way home. But it wasn't that easy, he is nearly sawn in half in a sawmill, then after all his adventures, he is flown home in a sea-plane. Most of the illustrations were created from photographs I took while in Alaska, the rest are 'virtual' pictures created on the computer. Paul Gregory Holmes.
