Light of Heaven traces a young boy's life from an orphanage in Staten Island, New York, through the many eventful years of living with his Aunt Marie and Uncle Sam Labella. The story is about the tragic romance with his Swedish girlfriend Gloria, and his agonizing experience fighting in World War II. His faith in God helps him to cope with the challenges of internal family conflict, and to overcome serious events such as his step-brother's jealousy, and being wrongly sentenced to the NY State Penitentiary. The many issues that Franky faces shape the foundation of this dynamic character as the novel culminates with the most important decision of his life!
