The present edition is based on "W. A. Mozart: Neue Ausgabe Samtlicher Werke" (Barenreiter 1975). The violin parts in the piano reduction are included without any changes. The editor's suggestions are given in the attached parts. The editor's intention has been to differentiate unambiguously his suggestion of articulation (use of bow) and dynamic markings from Mozart's notation. For this sake the suggested slurs are marked with broken lines and given in several instances as a mere possibility under the staff. (Cf. 3rd movement, bar 85. In the same place the marking nnis meant only to reinforce Mozart's notation.). The obvious fingering variants are placed above the staff and the possible ones under the staff.
