"I'm the luckiest guy in the world," said virtuoso blues-rock guitarist, singer-songwriter, and Blues Foundation board member and spokesperson Joe Bonamassa. For a young artist who's living his dream, it's an apt summation of the story so far. Bonamassa's latest album, "You & Me", debuted at #1 on Billboard magazine's Blues chart in June 2006. All his previous albums have either hit #1 or gone Top 10 on that same chart. He plays well over 150 dates a year in the U.S. and internationally - a touring legacy that began when the legendary B.B.King invited Joe, at age 12, to come on the road with him as his opening act. He is the youngest member of the 25-person national Board of Directors for the Memphis-based Blues Foundation, and is the leading advocate for their acclaimed Blues in the Schools program.
