The dances in this book represent those which, danced by couples or by groups, illustrate the art of dancing at its traditional best. Rhythm of movement, beauty of pattern, the spirit of play and grace of deportment are all to be found in the list found within. The photographs found in the volume were posed by Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin B. Lovett, master of dancing, who also assisted in arranging the dance descriptions herein given.
