Pediatric Associates, P.C. is a self-contained envelope simulation that represents a four-day work week in a medical office. Students work through four packets of materials, with each packet containing approximately ten typical jobs performed by office assistants. Students perform a variety of tasks including setting priorities, following directions, making decisions, scheduling appointments, coordinating the use of insurance forms, keying and printing medical documents (typewriter and/or computer), and learning medical terminology.
