The text is designed to serve as a tutorial, reference, and lecture guide, and is appropriate as a course text or self-paced independent study guide. Chapters start by covering selected topics in moderate detail, followed by one or more tutorials covering the chapter's objectives and topics. At the end of each chapter, practice problems are used to reinforce concepts covered in the chapter and previously in the book. An accompanying website features solutions for instructors as well as ancillary materials for reading and download.
