A book about infantry uniforms from 1919 to the present cannot be complete. The largest body of troops in the various German armies, making up more than 60% of them, was and is simply structured only at first glance, in terms of its inner organization. The foot soldiers, as a group, still had their leading position until the end of World War I, and even in World War II they were partially decisive.
