In the Greater Mekong subregion, the poorest populations are ethnic minorities living in remote areas. Improving the health and education of these communities is critical for reducing poverty. This report contains substantial new information and analysisrelated to ethnic minorities in the subregion, which is of use to several stakeholders including government policy makers, nongovernment organizations, international agencies, and the academic community.
