A?tefan Adrian Mardare (born 3 December 1987 in BacA?u) is a Romanian professional football (soccer) player. He is a central defender currently playing for Debreceni VSC,and is part of the Romanian U21 team. He was a part from FCM BacA?u youth academy, and he made his debut against Rapid BucureA?ti at only 18 years old. After Bacau were relegated, he transferred to F.C. Vaslui, where he became a first team regular. In the summer of 2007, both Rapid BucureA?ti and Steaua Bucharest had offers of around A?700,000 turned down for Mardare.
