Uche Innocent Nwofor (born 17 September 1991 in Lagos) is a Nigerian footballer currently playing for VVV Venlo as a striker.Nwofor began his career with Power United also called Anambra Pillars F.C. He left in summer 2009 to go on loan to Nigerian premier league side Shooting Stars F.C. where he played for one season before joining Rangers FC.Nwofor signed with VVV Venlo in August 2011,despite receiving an offer from Portuguese club S.L. Benfica. Following interest from other clubs, Reports monitored in the media suggested that Nwofor might be forced to abandon the contract which he previously signed with Venlo for a more lucrative one however Nwofor stated in an interview that he was happy to start life in Holland as a professional player and resounded his wish to play for VVV Venlo.
