The club was founded with the name of club Sport Inca and played in Primera Division Peruana from 1912 until 1921. The club won the national tournament in 1920. The Peruvian Primera Division is the top professional division of Peruvian football. It is known today as Torneo Descentralizado de Futbol Profesional Peruano (Professional Decentralized Football Tournament). It has been referred to as Descentralizado since 1966, when the first non-capital teams were invited to compete in the first national championship.
