Roland Karlsson was a Swedish sprint canoer who competed in the late 1930s. He won a bronze medal in the K-4 1000 m event at the 1938 ICF Canoe Sprint World Championships in Vaxholm. Vaxholm is a locality and the seat of Vaxholm Municipality, Stockholm County, Sweden with 4,857 inhabitants as of 2010. It is located in the Stockholm archipelago.Vaxholm has always been for historical reasons, referred to as a city, despite the small number of inhabitants. Vaxholm Municipality prefers to use the designation Vaxholms stad (City of Vaxholm) for its whole territory, including 64 islets in the Stockholm archipelago, a usage which is somehow confusing.
