He is the third best ever triple jumper in all conditions with a mark of 17.98 metres from the Adidas Grand Prix in June 2010. His first win came at the World Junior Championships and he reached the final of the World Championships in Athletics the following year. He came to prominence with a world indoor record of 17.90 m to win at the 2010 IAAF World Indoor Championships. He was the triple jump winner of 2010 IAAF Diamond League and bronze medallist at the 2010 European Athletics Championships.
