Oswald "Ossie" Griffiths is a Welsh former professional rugby league footballer of the 1930s who at representative level has played for Wales, and at club level for Wigan, St. Helens (twice), and Halifax, playing at Centre, Second-row, or Loose forward/Lock, i.e. number 3 or 4, or 11 or 12, or 13, during the era of contested scrums. Ossie Griffiths won caps for Wales while at St. Helens 1935a?¦1936 4-caps. "The British Rugby League Records Book" states that Ossie Griffiths won his Wales caps while at St. Helens 1935a?¦1936. However, Ossie Griffiths left St. Helens for Halifax on the 16 November 1935, and did not resign for St. Helens until 1 February 1938, consequently the cap(s) won after 16 November 1935, and before the end of 1936 would have been while at Halifax.
