It is intended as a place for critical engagement, examination, and experimentation of ideas that connect the arts to their contexts in the world, on stage, in museums and galleries, on the streets, and in communities. The journal addresses the need for critical discussion on issues in the arts, and specifically as they are situated in the present-day contexts of globalisation, and the social, economic and political artefacts of cultural homogenisation, commodification and militarisation.
