The use of ultrasound in the diagnosis of disorders of the eye is fairly common, but not well understood by many radiologists. This issue reviews the use of ultrasound in the assessment of ocular trauma, glaucoma, and tumors. Also included are articles on assessment of the cornea, retinal disease, conditions affecting the optic nerve, and inflammatory disease. More advanced applications such as US biomicroscopy and biometry are covered.
