Book DescriptionRose DesRochers was born on May 28, 1969, in Belleville, Ontario, Canada, to Ruth and James Dafoe. Throughout Rose?s life, her mother and Rose shared a close bond that has inspired many of Rose?s poems. Rose?s father died in 1988 and the challenges she met over the next years would later contribute to the strength of her poetry. In 1999 Rose?s mother took ill and during this time?her early 30s?Rose began to write poetry seriously. In 2003 Rose opened her own poetry website, todays-woman.net. Other writers became the sources of inspiration and guidance.
