This book presents a cross-section of educational implications of the Knowledge Society (or Information Society), an emerging society in which Information and Communication Technology plays an important role. The book addresses: Lifelong Learning and education, e-inclusion, ethics and social impact, the role of engineering, economy and e-Society. It also includes concrete project proposals to address these issues in educational practice. The book contains the contributions to the Forum "Engineering the Knowledge Society", one of the events of the World Summit of the Information Society (WSIS), Geneva, December 2003.
