One of my U.S. Navy 6-month deployments with VP-9 Squadron was to Misawa, Japan. Misawa Air Base is located about 400 miles north of Tokyo, adjacent to Misawa City in Aomori Prefecture, in Tohoku. With April came the spring and the blossoming of the cherry blossoms. I took a USO tour to the nearest town to participate in the annual Cherry Blossom Festival. Here are all the pictures I took.
