Jack London was an American novelist, journalist and social activist. Pioneering the genre of magazine fiction and prototyping science fiction, he became one of the first writers, who gained worldwide fame and a large fortune. "The Strength of the Strong" includes seven extraordinary tales such as "South of the Slot," "The Unparalleled Invasion," and "The Enemy of All the World." Many of them deal with political issues, and display London's devotion to Socialism.
