The purpose of the study was to clinically evaluate & compare the efficacy of PM-TC Sonic® tooth brush & Oral-B® battery powered tooth brush in the reduction of established plaque, gingivitis & halitosis. 40 healthy volunteers were selected & randomly assigned into 2 groups; one group used PM-TC Sonic® tooth brush & the other group used Oral-B® battery powered tooth brush. PI, MGI, GBI & Halitosis grading were assessed at baseline, 15th day, 30th day, 45th day & 60th day. At the end of the study, reduction in PI, MGI, GBI were statistically highly significant during each interval for both the toothbrushes. For PM-TC Sonic® tooth brush the reduction in halitosis grading at 0-45 days interval was significant & at 0-60 day interval it was highly significant.
