The main purpose of this study is to evaluate the quality of life of patients with chronic periodontitis; assess the risk and analyze the risk factors for development of chronic periodontitis. The author present the logistic model of risk assessment. This model determined the least number of risk factors that have the strongest predictor value in the development of periodontitis.This construct allows the dental surgeon to undertake an adequate prophylactic approach in patients who have a history of risk factors for peridontitis.The evaluation of QoL of patients with chronic periodontitis based on the developed tool shows that chronic periodontitis had an impact on quality of life and the most prevalent negative aspects were found in patients with severe chronic periodontitis. Most strongly affected areas are the appearance, self-esteem and overall health of individuals.
