People in this part of the world do not have proper oral health care facilities. Hundreds of poor men and women suffer needlessly because they do not have good, clear information about their oral health, nor access to adequate oral care. Majority of people visit dentists just for extraction. Poverty & low literacy have devastating consequences on oral health, apart from general health. Single visit endodontics has potential advantages especially for economically deprived classes of our society. The idea to introduce single visit mode of dental management in rural areas of Sind (Pakistan) occurred in my mind for all deprived classes of my province who just afford to visit pubic dental hospitals once or twice in their entire life.
