There once was a time where if you wanted to talk to someone, you picked up your landline and called them. If that person wasn't home, you had to wait until they were. In that same time, if you wanted to meet a man or a woman, you went out to a club or a bar. While at the bar, you would survey the room until you found someone that caught your eye. When that person was identified the next step was to build up the courage to approach that person or wait for an opening. From that initial meeting came different outcomes: rejection or acceptance. If acceptance was the outcome, you exchanged numbers and the courtship began. The courtship included a series of phone conversations-some filled with plenty of awkward breathing. Also in the courtship there was a series of dates and meetings until the two people involved came to a mutual understanding that it was time to move to the next level...the relationship and all that follows. In this new age, all that has been thrown out of the window....
