Antonia Spear was born in Lichfield in 1937. Over the course of her life she has undertaken a variety of jobs from her early training in farming, to housekeeping at the country's first adult education college, to animal handling at London Airport. In Looking for Heaven - a Life she recounts her experiences through observations and anecdotes and offers an insight into a life lived to the full. She recounts candidly the good times and the difficult times taking in professional success and personal tragedy. As a life-long animal lover and dog owner, Spear also celebrates the joy and companionship to be brought by a loyal four-legged friend.
