The urgency of ending poverty is increasing like a sneak attack from an alien enemy, which is stealth as a B-2 bomber and no one sees it coming. In 1900, the USA population was a little over 20 million. By WWII, around 1945, we were nearing 125 million, growing to the population of around 300 million today. Population is increasing exponentially such that we could predict over 1 billion USA citizens by the next turn of century. Today we have nearly 20 percent of our children living in poverty, and since the greatest population growth comes at the low income level, along with Mexican immigration, it seems reasonable to expect over 50 percent of that population would be living without a sustaining income level and contributing nothing to the greatness of the American society. We need a plan that cannot only change the direction of population growth but will enhance society for those living who are very rich to the poorest one. Education is where that plan starts.
