Living Far Away is the fictional story of the third culture kids, ten-year-old Daniel-and Jenny, from Moving Far Away-going off to Missionary Kids (MK) school in the eighties and early-nineties Philippines. Daniel connects with a younger boy needing a friend, but relating to a pesky, hard-to-figure-out roommate is another matter. How will they become great friends-sharing school activities, taking field trips, exploring intriguing tunnels, and even making a mystifying discovery? School breaks and traveling back and forth add more mixed adventures. Daniel wrestles with the questions: What does learning difference mean? When you know something that might be dangerous, should you tell? And how can he make a decision that would change everything for him yet again?
