A story of Monte, a tiny squirrel monkey, and his friend Jack are captured by men involved in the illegal selling of endangered species on the black market. The pair escape their captors at the destination on Catalina Island. Evading re-capture, they travel from Avalon to the backside of the island, stumbling into the center of a Ceremonial Indian Gathering. Jack is re-taken prisoner by Joaquin, an evil medicine man who is the Keeper of the Badlands. Receiving a Warriors' blessing from the chief of the tribe, Montes' mission is to rescue Jack.
