This book examines the important subject of the protection of women under international humanitarian law with particular reference to the Women of Iraq and Palestine. It discusses the most important international humanitarian legal documents and instruments that are relevant to the topic. A key focus point in the book is the discussion of the social, cultural and political conditions currently affecting the women of Iraq and Palestine.
