European settlers came to southeast Ontario over 200 years ago, and many of the towns they established still exist. Developments that took place in bigger cities came late and slowly to these communities Jonagold is set in that area. It's the twenty-first century on a family farm, and changes have begun to arrive suddenly and with force. Three people working there imagine its past, present, and possible future.
