On leave of absence from a high profile job as television war correspondent, Jacques Legris sails his schooner to Honduras, where he befriends a stranger who claims to have found the legendary Lost White City, one of the last Mayan strongholds rumoured to contain immeasurable amounts of precious artifacts ripe for the picking. This new acquaintance makes the sailor an offer he can't refuse clearing the way for the kind of adventure that makes the war zones of the Middle East seem more like a Sunday school picnic.
