After an already long and prestigious career and the loss of her husband, Marva went back to school and received her Master of Divinity degree at the age of 55. Her advisor pointed her in the direction of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE), a hands-on program which trains chaplains to work with people in need, and it was there that she found the inspiration to write poetry. She documents her CPE experience - from her application to her retirement - in this volume. Earnest, open, and vulnerable, the poems in this collection speak Rev.
