This story takes the reader to Crossville, TN and the home of Ted Dawson a carrier truck driver whose life is depicted through flashbacks in our story, at least the last five years of his life and the events leading up to Ted's death. Preparations for Ted's funeral are being made by his live in girlfriend Molly Borders, and Ted's best friend, deputy sheriff Gary Farmer, who is also occupied with trying to find Ted's only living relative Alice who is known to live somewhere in New York, but that's all that is known about her. Ted's autopsy is most revealing to Gary Farmer, who soon afterwards becomes suspicious of the circumstances leading up to and surrounding Ted's death. Gary quickly suspects foul play in the case of Ted's death, and turns the sheriff's department upside down to prove it. The results of his efforts will lead you to an unbelievable ending to our story.
