A planet in another galaxy has a sun that is burning out. The inhabitants must prepare for that dying sun. They do this by using the nectar of a fruit called the Reima fruit. This nectar fuels their power generators, but has a detrimental effect if consumed by a person. If the Reima fruit is eaten, then that person experiences insanity or dementia. Centuries later the Reima fruit makes its way to earth where it causes havoc.
