Spilt Milk is a book about accepting the things that you cannot bring back. The solace of silence section permeates a sense of acceptance at the same time the meditation and stillness each poem evokes in the reader. Some of the poems can easily bring you to tears thus the suggesting title split milk but it makes you know better than to cry over spilt milk. Other than that main focus there is a variety of intriguing poetry in sections like "downtown talk" and "Soul food." The poems in the book have a way of emanating emotions and painting pictures to the reader. More like someone is holding your hand through each experience.
