During a commuter train strike, in Philadelphia, Faith Harley and Jacob Jethrow travel to work on his motorcycle. When the strike ends, Jacob invites Faith out on a date. Soon, romance is in the air. Fast forward to a night of excruciating pain. Faith gets Jacob to a hospital, only to learn his kidneys are failing. Jacob is placed on dialysis. A successful transplant finds Faith and Jacob reunited. Until tragedy strikes and lands Jacob in hospital again. A wealthy father is trying to fast track a heart transplant for his son. Using bribery and blackmail, he convinces a senior surgeon to alter the priority transplant list in favor of his son. When a lethal dose of insulin kills Jacob, his heart suddenly becomes available. Faith sets out on a mission to find the killer. As Faith and Detective Harrington close in on the conspiracy, Faith learns the identity of the young man who received Jacob's heart and plots a revenge.
