When the father of Martin and Tomas Brauer is mysteriously kidnapped the two brothers immediately set out on a perilous and almost impossible task of finding him. Situated in the middle of a remote part of the Paraguayan savannah they have no one to ask for help except their trustworthy dog, Caesar. With only a roll of fishing line, a machete and a couple of hastily crafted spears Martin and Tomas are forced to use their wits to find shelter and enough food to eat along the way. Encounters with fierce wild animals and other dangers keep Martin and Tomas forever on the lookout for possible threats to their lives. Unknown to them, in order for them to rescue their father, they must also contend with a desperate man who is capable of murder.
