Tragedy ensues when married man Antonio Morisan, an economist, on the verge of arrest in the fictional repressive country of Tacafecas, deviates from his escape plan and drives to the finca of Alison Pater Diaz, a young widow he had met on a bus ride. T. J. Valenzuela was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico, spent his early years there and in Guatemala, received a graduate degree in geography, and worked as an educator. He's the author of The Moon Lit the Owl's Way. He lives in Crestone, Colorado with his wife, Rose, and three dogs.
