James Edward Rady, a Hoosier author/poet was born on a farm in Indiana and reared in the community of Roachdale. He earned BA and MS degrees from Indiana University and post graduate studies at Indiana State Teachers College (now Indiana State University) and Ball State University. He retired from a career in Indiana schools as a teacher/administrator. He served in the U.S. Coast Guard during World War II and in the U.S. Army during the Korean and Vietnam wars. He retired from the Army as a Major after 25 years of military service. He has written educational newsletters brochures, booklets and Christian Tracts plus writing and teaching Bible Study and Adult Sunday School classes. He has been a radio news reporter and host of a cable TV Talk Show. In addition to his three poetry books, he has published two Christian fiction novels.
