My name is Jennifer Palk. Many people remember me as Sergeant Potter. I learned to bake at a very young age, and I love baking. I served in the U.S. Air Force for 17 years, for much of that I was a single mother and my sons were young. We always had baked cookies at my house growing up so baking has always been a part of me. Creating recipes I tried out my different versions on the flyers in the Air Force and they would give me feedback!! I had some student flyers that had been away from home for months and my baking was their first taste of home a long time. Being a single mom and Air Force hours I learned to make short-cuts to be able to bake and make home cooking and still have quality time with my sons. The recipes in this cookbook are short-cuts to home-style cooking because these days we don't have much time with all the homework our children get and our jobs.
