This book is primarily written to help both Accounting and non-Accounting majors gain understanding of Accounting theory and apply it to solve accounting problems that will likely be presented in real world on the job situations. A big book does not necessarily mean a good book. With this in mind, this book has been written to replace those cumbersome accounting textbooks that students are usually reluctant to buy because of the fact that many of the chapters in such bulky books are never taught due to perceived irrelevancy. Since accounting theory is important for every student to understand and apply to solve critical thinking problems that is the focus of this book. This book will also assist Accounting instructors in bridging the gap between merely teaching students the numerical side of Accounting and will emphasize both theory and the idea that Accounting is the language of business.
